XXX drove a Toyota AE111 in c class. he did pretty well. finished the race and he drove like a true racer... Congratulations XXX. With that tiny budget you managed to pull it off and finish the race... CONGRATULATIONS !!!!! 3 hips and hurrays for XXX

HURRAY for Team MAA - HPC Racing!!!
We started 64th place on grid, finished 16th and 5th in our class Group A. 230laps in all.....the others one honda factory team, one JP chin integra, one jap intgra and one Lotus Exige ( supercharged) ....
we use 160bhp Lotus Elise & all rookie drivers & team management!

Jules me & u also samelah...we started 49th on grid and finished overall 26th and 10th in class, did 225laps, just short of 8laps to the mighty budgetted Petronas team. Our budget did not allow us to buy tires until only the last minute, that means when we really needed it then only we went to buy especially the wets thats how tight our budget was, all in all we used only abt Rm7k of which RM5k went to tires. Crew consisted of misfits from Design School, Salesmans and what not....but in the end it was very satisfying.

Yes, the sense of finishing is AWESOME n second to very few other things....
Btw, what class u running a black car? My driver complaint that in the wet session in morning....a black Toyota hit him at T15 at rear n spun him around.....u kah? he he he

It was my first time watching the MME up close... It was tiring but it's worth it.. Congrats to XXX's team for finishing the race... especially the front right wheel was running only with 3 wheel nuts for 3/4 of the race... ****phew****
Good thing we don't need to make too many unnecessary stops except for the early stops for change of wet tyres.
Those in the pit would see the big contrast between the small privateer teams and the factory teams. The Honda Racing team has on-car hydraulic jacks and more advanced fuel rig. Their pit stop time is less than a minute with a 10 sec refuelling time. Where as the small budget team has to make do with 2-3 minutes of normal pit stop time and fuelling time is aledi close to 1 minute..
Big bow to XXX's Pit crew... All of them didn't get to sleep, the pit crew has just enuf ppl to work on the car, so can't afford to sleep.

Sorry couldnt make it last night. Called you but you didnt pick your phone up! Hmmmph! After Sepang i went home, had a shower & went to office straight till late evening. So no chance to rest.
Feeling is indeed great that our car finish the race & came in 5th in class. Almost did better but transmission started to have huge klonk klonk sound when down shifting in the last hour.

Yup! We hated the fueling system. Damn slow man. Pee also faster. kekekeke
Next year will definately upgrade to a better system. Thk god i manage to get about an hour sleep! Phew!

sorry Alvin, phone on silent mode - now just saw ur missed call...bugger!
ya-lor saw u sleep in room.....i manned the pit wall almost 9 hours straight...before taking off to sit down rest n when I come back....I heard the transmission issues from james after his stint.....my heart skip big time.
next time I dun dare take off even to pee.....at 3 am I went pee, then it RAINED!!!! sigh!
