Mechanic Shop in Penang

hy bros and sifus.just wanna find out if any one knows a good BMW mechanic shop in Penang as my brother is planning to get his E36 checked by a good mechanic prior before buying it.He has seen the car and is much satisfied with it but his worried about the engine and the gearbox of the car..So hope you guys could help ..thanks..cheerss.

I usually go to Chu Seng Auto Repairs at Jln P Ramlee. If you are on the mainland there could be more mechanics...

I suggest you send you bro car to workshop in KL and get everything done in one shot.Much more cheaper in KL.

Bro not evrey mechanics shop in pg or buttw are exspensive lah, just that you bump into wrong shop......

When we meet up next time, i can introduce u few shop ard here.

Dun worry.....many sifus, mahaguru, master etc in the forum can advise you what to do. Many of us been thru sweet and sour b4, Just make sure you post up your problem, sure some1 will answer you.

well not to worry..all u have to do is give me the plate number i could check in ab history..but if only was sold from ab..nway i m in penang..i can get u all the guys from ab to give u their opinion at no charge.but if u wanna diagnos then u got to pay ab then.

my advice,no one in malaysia could diagnos a car like ab do.full diagnos.better do that.so u will no the truth of that car.performance n wear of it..

If you are at mainland and staying near Bukit Minyak / Bkt Mertajam area, I would recommend KSM, a workshop at Taman Perwira at Permatang Tinggi (near Spg Ampat).

You may call Tony Wong, hp 012-4186633. This workshop specializes in continental cars but pretty good with BMWs. Used to service my car in KL but had changed after knowing this workshop. I had been sending my E36 and now E46 to this folks in the last several years. Price ? About the same or slightly cheaper, depending on which workshop in KL you comparing with.

I'd visited KSM yesterday. Big workshop and nice setup. Clean and not messy.
Yesterday I saw all the car being service are conti-car,all are peugot. They also can rebuild the gearbox.
I wanna give a try.

Hi Selvahraje46...Sorry for the late reply, just came back from a biz trip....actually there are many more BMW specialists in the Island. I will get the contact # and post it here. Though I never used them, I heard from my friends that they are pretty good too. But since I have not used them myself I can't vouch for them. Ask your bro can check them out. Relau is near the airport so is quite far from the workshop that I had mentioned earlier.

KM : You are right, they are specialists in Peugeot but can service all other conti cars as well. If I am not mistaken Tony used to work for Peugeot in KL some years back before returning to Penang. I have been using this place for several years and they never let me down. Very competent, professional and ethical.
