..matte vehicle paint..

..im sure we all use to see vehicles on road with matte color paint (color with no shimmer, glitter or iridescence), and giving rather interesting visual appearance of vehicle..im wondering, what does it take to do that to vehicle?? I mean, is it necessary to repaint vehicle in chamber or anything like that, long as you dont want to change existing color of vehicle but just want to make it matte? Im thinking to do that to my Z, but im not sure what does it take and is there any drawback of such thing (non visual but technical)?

if you scratch the surface with your nails, it will stay there and needs repainting to remove the scratch. cannot polish as it will come out shiny.

Most cars are wrapped in vinyl to achieve this look. When you get bored, you can rip it off and go back to your original paint/color.
If you decide to paint instead of wrap, it is very difficult to maintain.
