Cat tak tahu apa Masalah Transmissions e46 (1.9) cat, bila letak gear pada P ketika engin hidup kadang-kadang dia macam lock ketika kita nak tolak ke D, kejadian beraku sekali-sekala, ketika cat berhenti letak pada P engin hidup nak masuk balik D dia lekat, mati kan engin hidupkan semula dia ok, apa masalah dia eh!" biasa berlaku ketika berjalan sekejap berhenti letak p engin hidup"

Cable sudah loose... don't adjust your steering after you fix it...the gearbox lock cable near by..can cause this problems....

Haha..2 antara symtom H1N1lah 2...cewahhh.....saya punya cousin guna model ni gak tapi jenis CI, Mula2 memang macam ni symtomnya,last skali kene wabak GearBox problem..nasihat saya,baik awk bwk BABY awak pi jumpa doktor BMW awal2 sebelum merebak sebab BMW ni memang manja sikit,pas2 kena jaga betul2..saya punya BemmEerss pun tengah sakit jugakk...Sakit Air Intake punya filter dah tersumbat,sekarang ada di Klinik hahaha...kalau sakit GearBox, beribu2 duit terbang nanti,silap2 boleh beli kereta kancil sebiji...

cat cuba buat mcm James Chun cakap dulu, harap2 ok, sebab steering cat paling rendah muking cabel loose..

James Chun cat dah cuba cara yang u cakap keadaan sekarang ok, dah hampir 1 minggu cuma 1 kali je terjadi lock, cuma sekarang cat nak tahu perlu tukar ke cabel yang u cakap tu? anyway tq atas tunjuk ajar u

if lock also never mind, open the gear shift cover then manually pull up the lock hinge...can pull up by hand...dun worry...

for your information.......my e46 now facing same prob as u...........then now at workshop.......looking for new gearbox.............really have to spend 5k and above....dono yet the exactly amount.......so u better watch out n find a solution to make sure ur e46 not facing same as mine......ok good luck......im not trying to scared u but seriously this hapend and not impossible to hapend soon if u not taking any action........

it's depend on how u drive your baby..if u drive it smoothly it will give smooth response..mine also already feels that problem..lastly, malas nak pening2 i just change from auto tranny to manual..:listen:

i not sure whether this symtom is because the gearbox gone soon, but i knw there is a solenoid valve in the grear shift area. If the solenoid valve is not function when you press your brake pedal, it won't unlock the hinge & you cannot shift from "P" to "R". I personally think the problem cause by that solenoid.

Bro J Chun and sifus,
What could be the problem with my gb. The gear indicator appear (with puntuation mark-!). From the diagnosis, it say - excessive gear slip. My mechanic advice me to change gp oil ( my 2nd time, 1st was done @ 90K+Km, now 172K Km). The gp was ok for a while, +/- 1 month, but now it apear again. But when I switch off/on the engine, the indicator disappear and the car drive normal again. Please help me. Tqvm - E46 328i yr 2000
