Malaysia's Ibrahim Amir (Rico) in Guinness 9 Ball Final

Wuhoo! Our very own Rico is in the Finals of the Guinness Asian 9 Ball Pool Tournament playing the great Yang Chin Shun from Taipei. Beating 2004 World Champion Alex Pagulayan in the semi-finals is already a feat in itself! Its on now Astro and watching it Live. Hope he wins.... which would put M'sia in the map for pool players.

Yeah, too bad he lost in the Finals. Anyway, great job. Can't say the same about our national football team though...

Yeah, although he missed some pretty easy pots during the crucial stages of the match he did okay overall.

The lack of top level competition exposure and playing on the 'TV' table was probably the 2 contributing factors for Rico not coming out tops.

I hope with his fine run, more would be done for Pool here in M'sia. We are capable of churning out players who can be World beaters.
