Some photos to share, will post more later.1. Noh S.Y, a precocious 18 year old golfer whom hit a wonderful chip in the last hole to win the Open by one stroke.

2. He chipped in for birdie, on the second hole!!

3. Kirendech, ex world junior champion from Thailand that was briefly leading the tournament at -13, before a bogey on the back nine that thwarted his challenge. Look out for him, hits the ball a long long way!

7 (a,b). David Willet from England, another promising youngster making waves on the European PGA Tour hit his second shot into the bunker lip and ball was plugged. Hacked it onto the bunker, hitting his 4th shot from the bunker at the par 5 18th hole. Ended up with a bogey.

All these guys released the club fully, something I am inspired to do!! http://www.photomalaysia.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gifhttp://farm5.static.flickr.com/4025/4419315078_248ee04df0.jpg9. K.J blasting out from the par 4th 6. Pretty much a clean shot from the fairway bunker.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2760/4419322482_7d5f77dbf2.jpg10, Soren Hansen, on the 5th hole with his flight mates looking closely,http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4002/4418572151_8159eea0b3.jpg11. Noh S.Y at hole 9, can you spot the ball? http://www.photomalaysia.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gifhttp://farm5.static.flickr.com/4005/4418566177_916bd5b507.jpg

Nice pictures. It was a great ending to the tournament. One of the best pitch shots under pressure.

The champion and 1st runner up looks like 1 generation in gap..

nice shots Donovan :) enjoying the D700 i see.

Nothing great la d700. Replacement unit should be up very soon. Hope Nikon will incorporate the 24.6mp sensor into it!!;)

no need 24.6MP... but if they shoehorn the D3s' sensor with ISO 200 - 12800 (ISO 100 - 102,400 in Boost mode) into the D700 replacement, then it'll be worth the wait... otherwise, your D700 if as good as it gets, for now...

If it's a watered down version of the d3s then no point. 2 extra stops of iso is not worth 9k or so. Higher MP got other usages and my d700 can be a second body.

My fav shot... 7b. The ball being at the crest of the sand 'wave'.

nope, in between the tree and the guy with the blue/red/white/turquoise umbrella....

very nice shots. what lens did you use for these shots?

i am on the edge of jumping into D700 anytime now, but would definitely want to wait for the replacement to be announced (just dunno when???) if it worth the extra doughs...
