I have used mineral oil and have cruised at speeds above 180 on my regular trips to Penang and had no whatsoever problem. Whether you are cruising at 180km/hr or getting stucked at a bad traffic jam, the effect is the same. Oil is always circulated and cooled at the evaporator. When an engine is old, plenty of things can go wrong. In this case, plenty of engine oil has gone missing, which points to a blown gasket. If the internals are all burnt with the engine intact then it will be the oil problem (assuming the oil pump is working).Rgds</blockquote>
