Looking for E36

I'm looking for a good condition E36. Before year 2000, what are the things one should look out for?Any specific year to avoid? Any advise?

Bro ,

This had been discussed in details in various threads . Do some search la ...
But in general , for 318 , try to get after 97 . They come with timing chain
( lower maintenance ) , OBC & nicer looking grills .
If dont mind the fuel consumption , try to get the 325 . More ooommpph .

I second what megatniza said. However DO check your radiator system after/during buying your e36. I have had to change an engine due to overheating.
