Hey Guys,I'm new to this site and I have a 1992 bmw 320i Japan spec. and a 318i Japan spec. I'm in the process of trying to rebuild my 320i after being side swiped by a guy on a Hondra CBR 900RR at about 85 mph. The car has always had a transmission issue, the trans in the 320i is the RE5OR1A ( bastard transmission)its a Nissan Trans ( it came with the damn thing in it). Anyway I want to swap trans for the 318i trans, but there is issues with the trans.wire connector, not hte same as the nissan, the 318 uses a GM trans. Anyone know where I can get some wiring info on engine and trans harness of both cars?. And does anyone know the difference between the U.S wiring and Japan wiring?

caymanjoe.. both the cars have differnt wiring.. the wiring is loomed together with the engine, etc.. it's impossible to change just the gearbox wiring even sawping the boxes is easy..

my suggestion sell the 'problemati' car.. keep the other..

regards.
