On the side note, I do agree having firearm is not the way to fight crime. As it is now, we already have a lot of smart alecs who keep finding loopholes in the system  on various areas. I recalled there were reported cases who some loose nuts ran amok with parangs and there's one with gun. The infamous one is Kenny Lee who got temporary insanity and shot a woman near the Istana Negara. And I also don't agree than women should get pepper spray for protection. Do bear in mind that if the lady panicked and the pepper spray falls into the hands of the assailants, it turns the situation around and make it worse. Just like countersteering an oversteering car, if you're not 'trained' to countersteer, you won't know how to do it intuitively. So if you insist on equipping yourself or your woman with a weapon, make sure she knows how to handle it. Otherwise, don't.....</blockquote>
