The EWS is usually supplied with 3 or 4 keys.If the key is "lost", you can add another 6 keys to the EWS.with the revolving coding of EWS3, the lost key can be de-syn after a certain number of starts.The usually happen with spare key that is kept in your house. (sometime problem of de-syn isalso due to weak battery).When the de-syn happen, you cannot open the door via remote function. However, youcan still open the door via the mechanical lock and start the car. So for safety measure,it is better to disable the lost keys to prevent it from being used to start the car. It is recommend to swap the spare key with the daily use key and charge it every 3 months.</blockquote>
