Hi,Finally got my bimmer e92. There is a UsB connection in the glove compartment. Has anyone tried using standard iPhone/iPod USB connection to see if you can control the song tracks via the steering wheel ?

It works like that on my e90 LCI. The phone becomes you music storage device. Can access via iDrive ...

Tried it on with the standard iPod USB - but I noticed that it only detects certain parts of the song list. Any ideas why this is happening ?

I have used my phone with the CHARGER connector, it always gives problems. But no probs using connectors that I purchase from Mac shop.

What do you mean by CHARGER connector ? I heard that you need to use a Y cable.

Okay ... The cable that comes with your charger has a USB connector at the charger end. I used that cable to plug into my cars and the iPhone does not work. But if you purchase the same cable from Mac shop it works. Clearer?

Thebmw iPod connectivity y cable did the trick - now it registers iPod on the audio system

Here I come 2 years late. Tried connect my phone on the USB port but it doesn't support.

I drive a e90 lci year 2010..

I have a e60 2003 year, what is the cheapest option to use my iphone/ipod via usb (with or without iDrive support)? I just wanna play my music from my iphone to the car audio.
