Dear sifus, How much roughly will an ignition coil for my m52tu cost and where would be a good place to purchase it from? Many thanks..

Ok great. Shud I change the long tube (suppressor) as well or would I be able to reuse my Old ones? Thx

Suppressor comes together with your brand new ignition coil. The latest Bosch model is covered fully with rubber. This solved the suppressor detaching after some time issue. This is evident in M54 engine ignition plug in coils without screws (pencil type).

Something like this:

Hi Psykit.. Mine is the screw type and the suppressor is sold separately as per Bavarian Auto. Do u think I should replaced my old ones or just reuse it?

How much is the supressor? If the old ones are in still good condition, just reuse it. Or else, if they are not that expensive, just get new ones.

Yes you are right cause i just bought recently. If i am not mistaken the whole piece of screw type ignition coil price was below rm120.

if u plan to diy first get the ignition coil out and check the suppressor. if they are still usable then no need buy new ones.

Yes just change the suppressor if it is worn and the whole ignition coil is still usable. If you can get a cheap price, i would recommend to change the whole unit itself.

I recently changed all 6 of them to a new set and I can feel the torque response immediately once installed. The coils inside will deteriorate over time.

I just bought one Bremi coil yesterday...rm150. Seems you guys get it much cheaper.
I guess parts price in Penang way expensive than kl.
