I have a case here. If your customer does not pay up his debts for more than a year n there are no guarantor. Just a simple plain invoice n he refuse to pay. What can you do? Lodge a report with police or go to consu,er tribunal court? Consumer tribunal court only protect consumer but not vendor right? Please advise. Nowadays too many people refuse to pay up their debts n it is getting worse. Haiz!!! Please help.

marco hire debt collectors larrrr ...make sure the license one ...Or else you'll be in trouble ..

let me know if you're keen ...

lodge a police report - they will only sit on it without doing anything unless ur name is Marco Chen Bin Datuk Seri Najib

Tribunal court - your customer will be found guilty. Then your customer said i cannot pay. Court will declare him bankrupt. With court order, court will auction their properties and pay you. This will take forever to settle... if you do it now, maybe your grandchildren can get the money. But, it will be much faster if ur name is Marco Chen Bin Tun Mahathir Mohamad

Ask your lawyer to sue him - your lawyer will issue a letter asking them to pay you within a specific period of time. Failing which, your lawyer will go to court to winding up your customer's office. So all their account and business transaction will be freeze. Will take ages to settle will take ages to settle unless again ur name is Marco Chen bin Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin

Get the professional debt collector - faster although the pay will be a bit high. Maybe u can get ur money back or maybe not but one thing for sure, you will need to pay their service charge no matter u get the money or not.

Put it in ur bad debt account. call him every other day for the payment. in the mean time, work hard to cover the loss.

Good luck..

hehehehehe

Civil case.. sue them, file a claim officially to legally put a leash on his estate... then hire a hit man and u should know the balance of the equation...

Don't pay up don't release car la. If the fella Credit Card also can't swipe... u are just asking for trouble thinking he'll pay later. Times are bad!

Unless u are Astro, some more can increase price! Monopoly ma!

Your best bet is still to hire a reputable debt collector. They do quite a professional job. But you also have to make sure that you are above board. They will not take a case if there are other mitigating circumstances. Their fees are quite reasonable and they have quite a good success rate. Worth the money.

who has contacts of a reputable debt collector and normally what would be their fees? PM contacts and other details, if you don't want to post in public. Thanks in advance

It depend on the amount.

if it a few thousand < RM1000.. it might not be worth the hassle.

it a different story if it is a few million.

To sue a person for bankruptcy, there is a minimum amount owing. You cant sue a person if he only owns you RM100.00

i've gone through the legal way. Unfortunately i am not Bin Najib Tun Razak nor Bin Tun Mahathir.
So, I got nothing out of the legal way but ended up paying so much on legal fees (High Court, bankcruptcy case).

Without hi-jacking this thread, anyone reading please post contacts via PM. FYI, mine's in the 6 figure region. Botched up house purchase(I'm the buyer, subsale), with clear S & P, breach of contract.

For 6 figures dont bother using a debt collector. I dont think they'll do it for your case. Debt collectors are more for B2B. But I'll get you the number.

But for debt collector, I heard they charge almost half of the amount. Is it true?

Your house issue still not settled yet????
