I have to add this though.....i'm a frequent user of that lane (not making U but to turn right after the lights). From my past observations and experience, there are still day dreaming drivers queuing up at the lights (of course in the proper lane la...not baboooning around). "Day dreamers" because even when lights turn green, the first couple of cars at the front will take off promptly. However there are some in the middle of the line who do not follow suit rather they wait for the immediate car in front of them to have traveled nearer to the lights, only then they start to accelerate. Now 2 things happens here... 1) We all know how fast these lights turn over. With the above drivers lining up, i can quite readily say it would have allowed 8-9 cars only to get pass through the lights within that 1 cycle. 2) These drivers create long gaps in between them and the car in front of them..... What i usually do is, wait patiently in the queuing up lane (i can be miles behind) and when the lights turn green, make a sprint dash towards the front using the right lane (the lane for U) and immediately "budget" (so to speak) that gap and slide in just before the lights. Don't get me wrong fellas....i have done this many times and with the right timing and speed, i could get in the gap without having the day dreaming driver at the back of me to apply his brakes. That's how long a gap there is at times. This is in line with the saying "my time is more important than yours" as these dreamers can sit all day long at that spot even when the lights go green and they can never give a rat's ass for your time. Well....all this happens on one condition......when there's no "baboooons" (as quoted by someone else) jamming on the right lane (U turn making lane). So in future, if you happen to see me sliding in, just smile and wave....smile and wave
