hi everyone,i've noticed there are several ICE sifus here.... so here comes the story.when i bought the e34, the ICE was stock standard except for the HU.i'm stripping off the components from my previous ride consists of:1. kenwood HU2. Cap Ayam (Kedai Aksesori ABANG) 1000 watts 4 channel amp3. Monitor Audio 6.5" Speakers4. Monitor Audio Crossovers5. Tweeters (forgot the brand name but decent sound la...)6. Cap Ayam oso, 10" subwoofer with enclosureand i'm getting in 2 more items for the setup :7. Furi V12 Amp 2Channel 1200watt 8. MB Quart Mid bass 6"ok now, the question is:- can the items be installed in my car (i mean without doing too much damage to it- no korek sini, lubang sana thingy)?- where is the best place (cheap + quality :D ) to get it installed, preferably in Shah Alam, subang area or nearby with UDM-experienced installers - SQ setup? :p ?- how long will it takes (this is a stupid one... :p ), because tomorrow :) , i'll be in KL area.... is 2-3 hours enough?Hopefully someone can enlighten me on this matter...Thanks.RegardsLipisBimmer

simple install can take 2-3 hours but you might have to wait if there are many cars at that shop. If you want to make fabrication for amp racks and do proper tuning, it will take half a day to a full day itself. EASILY.

Why? because installation is only a small portion of getting sound out of your ICE system but tuning is the biggest. Positioning of speakers, getting the right gain settings, EQ, etc etc will be the main chunk of the work to squeeze out the maximum of each component you have.

Location wise? Subang/Shah Alam, I am not familiar with ICE shops there. I hope other ICErs can help. I know only of Technichi based on others' feedback. It is located along Federal Highway, I believe opposite the UMW Toyota and Naza showroom

your components? can use la. Depends what you want to get out of it. I am restraining myself to the max not to racun you. It is evil. Arrggh. someone please stop my fingers from typing.. @#@$!@RQ@#$!%@#$!%@#$

thanks affan.... :D i can see that u are the ICE guru here....

don't restrain yourself from racunning me, please.... just racun, whether it works or not, that's another story... :D

anyway, can u give me exact location of the so-called Technichi. Pricewise is it reasonable, qualitywise? approx how much for my setup?

i've dug down deep, veeryy deep in my pocket already securing the e34, therefore just a little left for the ICE setup. :(

anyway, thanks for the feedback.

regards

If you want to get racun-ed, call me tomorrow morning. I am going over to "the shop" for a while. hee hee

If you looking for reputable installer in Shah Alam, try CN Audio (Kevin) Sec 9 (on the right of Plaza Masalam) facing KFC. Nice chap friendly and helpful will not push you to purchase rather will look at what's your budget and your taste.
Buttt IMHO, dont just take my word. The best is to check his workmanship and few others yourself first before deciding as it's your money that you gonna part with no matter how small or big. Check out KK Lau, Ah Bee (SS2), KF Audio (Jln Ipoh) or Peter in Uptown (not brother Peter) but a shop few doors after Brother Peter.
