hi to all sifu , i just change my gearbox from auto to manual ,but i didnt change the rear gear axcle ,now its still using the automatic gear rear axcle ,the ratio i think is 4.somthing .its really hard to drive in highway,i am using 5th gear in 100 km/h at 4 rpm ,the engine sound is terrible so i really need advise from bm sifu here, what is the best ratio for my m40 manual some ppl say 3.45 ,but some of them say 3.91 and 4.1 i really blur already .thank and appreciate for ur help:smokin:

ori is 4.1 but 3.91 still acceptable

did u know what is the ori ratio for auto ,so that mean 4.1 can fix it to my manual gear box alraedy rite

U are using E36 right with M40.......3.45 ratio is the one you need.... like mind before even thought now i run M50B20 but still use 3.45 ratio......what can i advise u now pls don't speed more than 100km/h until u got your rear excel.....if not you wil hear bunyi bising from your g.box...

and dont get confius E30 and E36 ratio is different.....

Why not swap the axle too with the person whom you swap your gearbox.

i want too but the person who r swap to me is using the same axle with me too 4.45 also ,so no point i swap from him :smokin:
