how to repair cup holder?

Hi all!Need help. I just bought BMW 523, Y2000, UK spec. last monthThe problem is my cup holder for the back passenger, i.e. below the back air cond (at the armrest) was pushed off from its place. He3x.. actually, my son pushed it in and now it is hanging loosely inside the armrest.Can i repair it myself? Any tips? If i send to repair, where to? and how much?Thanx. Glad to join the club.

That thing seem to be quite flimsy.... Have seen another E39 with loose cup holder too...

Yes, forget about repairing because it'll be damaged again in no time. I replaced mine with a storage unit, done by AB.

Forget about repairing or replacing it. It cost about 250 a pop and will go. I changed mine twice. In the end I put back the blank.
