How Much Does It Cost? ( BMW Road Tax & Maintenance)

Buying a BMW is one thing but being able to afford it in the long run is totally another. I have several BMW cars in my mind (favourites), I just want to know how much would it roughly cost for road tax and maintenance (monthly) to own these BMWs:BMW E39:

BMW E39 M5:

BMW E46:

BMW E46 M3:

BMW E90 & 92 320i & 325i:

BMW E90 & 92 335i:

Road Tax is the same no matter what type of car you intend to own.
it depend on the cc of the engine.

Maintenance cost is a different story all together.

For maintenance wise, in my opinion, e46

As a general rule of thumb the newer the car the less the maintenance costs. But this is usually offset by the higher selling price.

IMHO, if road and maintenance are an issue, I'd strongly discourage buying any of the M-series. Road tax would be higher, maintenance would be higher as well. Imagine having to pay for more spark plugs, more engine oil, more coil packs, more road tax, more frequent tyre replacements, pretty much more of everything.

If you have such concerns, best advice would always be to buy the newest car that you can afford, provided that the car is in good condition. I've seen too many friends buying the car they like only to end up living in a tiny apartment while trying to feed a car.

Disclaimer: I've never owned any of the BMW M's despite looking at it numerous times. I do however still keep an equal from another German marque and experience above are from there and also personal discourse with other car nuts!
