Yes I had to get a new engine I spend almost RM15K but with my new upgraded engine my car has not given me any problems to date since I change the engine. There is still one or two thing that i need to do for my satisfaction of driving.....hence the money spend was worth it.  At the end of the day in order for you not to spend unnecessaryly on repairs boils down to the how well verse the mechanic that is fixing your car is. The mechanic MUST be good and be able to generously and honestly educate you on the parts that needs to be replaced. Some workshops will compromise on the quality of the parts just to make an extra buck just to temporaryly solve your problem and you end up with the same problem again. I have no problems with my car because my mechanic gives me good advise and takes reasonable time to fix it instead of rushing the job.</blockquote>
