judging form the pictures, the driver must have been a goner.... but the car would still live...

The car was totaled when the original owner tried to flee from would be car-jackers. Even though the car flipped onto its roof, the driver walked away from the wreck reportedly without a scratch. That is German crash safety for you.

Doubtful that the handling would be 100% like original and the structure wouldn't be as safe as before, but put it this way ... I would prefer driving this fella's handiwork than die of melamine poisoning from driving those China cars.
