The rule of thumb is to have a minimum 2mm thickness of groove or thread.As I also drive a pickup and my tires actually can go for 100k and the thread is still so thick. My last pair of 4x4 tyres wore out at 120k km. Can;t they built em tires to at least half of the 4x4 pickup lifespan?? It was scary at first going on my first pair until 85k and I decided to discart em but eventually after many years of changing em tires I find no drop in road handling even at 100k. 110k degradation starts to set in fast.</blockquote>
