Furthermore, back to 3 to 5 years ago not many passenger car uses diesel (I mean daily home user) until recently Europe is using diesel technology as well as MY hiking up with petrol prices, users like us have to find alternative such as LNG or diesel.I myself quite confused also to go for BMW diesel or Merc petrol until I see posting from docrayboy as well as PM from paltantk. Thanks to both of them for the advise which I find meaningful. For myself, I think the most drawback is not resale value as  we do not know what is the resale value after 5 years later as diesel may become popularity due to rocket price of petrol but the clattering sound which is louder than petrol engine. Secondly, of course your personal perference whether u are comfortable with the word "petrol" or "diesel" which mentality feel that diesel is "dirty" and "cheap"Just some of my thoughts !</blockquote>
