AB Premium Selection cars are 90% pre-reg and used by BMW Malaysia and AB staff or demo cars. Mileage can be as low as 1000 to 10k km. Usually registered less than 1 year ago, most are as recent as 3-5 months. when i mentioned trade-ins, I meant direct owner trade-ins. Also, not easy to get direct owner sales in the used car market too. Speaks volume of the joy the current owners are having with their 320d. So far, the lowest price I have seen is Quill's pre-owned Mar 2010, done 20k km, selling for RM 195k. Frankly, BMW's resale value for all models have not been too spectacular of late. The Audis and VWs seem to hold value better (due to their 5 yr warranty?). Maybe it's also because the Premium Selection business model is cannibalising prices too. Thus, for me, to balance practicality with passion for the BMW brand, i chose to buy Premium selection - that way, at least BMW has borne the first brunt of depreciation which could result in savings of nearly 40-50k for a 3-4 month old model (depending on your petaling street skills)
