Have seen 4-5, E9 in and around KL. One on Mudah 2-3 months ago, looked ok, not a restoration project. He was asking close to 100K. Another one was for sale in Kayu Ara for about a year. Car was a good project, but had unoriginal engine, and some other loose ends. Asking price was 60K. E9 is a beautiful car, but does not come cheap. Rust in firewall. A-pole and surroundings are frequent. A E9 in mint condition, all original, is worth a lot of money, and makes a good show car. Let us know if you find one, pictures are always welcome.

I would not have a clue who deliver quality workmanship in the area. But there must be someone on the forum here that knows someone or something. I it such a valuable car in good condition and half value for soddy and unoriginal car.
As previously mentioned there was a difference of 40K for same model car, one original good shape, second a bit of mixmash "bastard". With 2966 ccm the roadtax could run up around 2400RM a year, unless it is registered as Vintage. Some malaysians have replaced the big volume BMW engines with smaller turbo-charged japanese. The immediate saving on road-tax and petrol is instant, however the collector value of the car just dropped to Zero. The 60K car was one of them, it was sitting in Kayu Ara for more than a year without selling. Car dealer said there was many people looking at it, but they all walked away.

Hello, is anyone still here? Just trying my luck and see if anyone reply. Recently I have the urge to get an E9, does anyone one know if there is any in Malaysia? Anyone selling. No matter the condition or whatever engine in it. Hopefully someone here can tell me. Cheers!
