Put a hinge so it can open left-to-right  (I am left-hand driver country), so in Msia will do right-left opening. A slot behind so rear passengers can slot in their mobile phones without opening it. Driver and front passenger can put mobile phones and CDs in there. When closed, does a fine arm-rest for both driver and passenger.Sprayed black and wrapped in black leather. I put magnetic contact for the lid latch. Works better.One extra, I had a Treo 650 pigeonHole dock in front, so I can slot the treo handset into it with handsfree cable near the gear  shift.I had six 2 inch screws drilled into the rear base of the console. Its solidly anchored to the car.</blockquote>
