the standard heater on e34 is such a pain in the ass to repair once broken (valves, heater core buried in dashboard with coolant pipings).has anyone done a conversion to electrical based heater either via using an assembly of off the shelf parts from other cars or is there a ready made kit available from some vendor?

scratching my head huh..??? :dunno:

Yeah, the heater make no use to us in this kind of climate. In fact, this unit has been bypasssed before rolling out. But there are times it howls (you can actually here growling sound made by this heater). What I did was to unplug the wires that run this unit. So far, so good!hehehe... :yes!:
