So you can see that there are pro and con with single h/cap.      I am sure there are many hidden golf talents within the club and will only expose themselves when it comes to good valuable prizes.  Same applies to the local amatuer tournaments. In general golf is a gentleman game and the rules are very explicit and clear.  There isn't any marshalls or even flight members around when you address and strike the ball.  If one choose not to follow the rules for example moving the ball to improve lay, he can get away with it. There are many ways to infringe the rules if one is not honest.  And this applies to declaring your actual h/cap.</blockquote>
