I have the torch too just that it doesn't light up to it's name!

Believe it's batt too. But i'm having a tough time figuring out how to open this blardy 1 piece looking plastic. No sign of two points coming together...where to begin also dunno.

As for the batt....that link says it can be bought from RS. I've bought a few things from RS online before. So that's not going to be an issue. I can get a pair or more if anyone else also wants it.

Care to explain how you manage to rip it apart Vince?

Are those rechargeable button cell? Cannot find 325-2850 in Radio Shack website le.. :(

The battery is Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable type.

part Number is CP300H - 6 Volt - 200 mAH

RS part number 325-2888 @ RM62 per piece.

Maybe Pasar Road could be cheaper.
You will need 2 pieces. Might as well get "Surefire" torchlight.

Ooo.. so its a series connection to achieve 12v.. new OEM torch light only how much ooh?

Jarance, u got Surefire ka? I have LED torch than run on 3xAAA, not every time fire though, usually is few-knocks-only-fire.. :p :D

This is the part number as listed on that link: 325-2850

Battery,rechargeable,button cell,NiMH,1.2V,250mAh

Only imitation one.. but the LumiLED is original in the Surefire..

I also got one from night market for my kid and it is rechargeable from 240 VAC mains. Cost me RM80..

Sorry, did not notice the resistor in series with the charging terminals.
So most probably, the battery required is rated at 1.2VDC instead of 2x6V battery.

But then again, from this pic, the battery are stack up or in series.

Notice the 2 batts in there.

Funny cuz this is the part number he states:
"The batteries can be bought on-line from RS (order number 325-2850), you will need two of them."

and these batt are 1.2V,250mAh

OK my bad.. Looking at my Malaysia version hardcopy catalog,

here is the answer.. Stock number should be 325-2872

Alo! Founder is Vincent Hor la! .. for this thread! Dun thank the wrong person! :D :D

Junk the OEM incandescent flashlight and get some of the newer generation LED flashlights. It lasts a whole lot longer per charge (if running on rechargeables) and the "bulb" never blows. And you can carry it on to your other cars in future too.
