Message: <blockquote data-quote="E46Fanatic" data-source="post: 260134" data-attributes="member: 81">Maybe some guidelines will help clear things up for non-official BMWCM gatherings.  I think XXX has a point that when its not officially an official event, we shouldn't label it as an official BMWCM event or that we are from the BMWCM for the event.  Organizing the event is great and benefits everyone tho incl BMWCM. Maybe in the future, we just be sensitive that any gatherings which have not been officially sanctioned by BMWCM, stays as just a gathering of BMW Owners instead of people from the BMW Club or a BMWCM event.  I guess it only fair, as lets say if there is something which went majorly wrong, it help BMWCM and the committee clear its involvement in this self organized thingy.  If its an official event, involvement by the BMWCM committee will help them shield any potential risks which could come up which may tarnish the name of the club.   So in summary - its fantastic that people do organize things which help fellow BMW Owners.   But if its not official, we just be careful of not misrepresenting BMWCM and the committee.  Its only appropriate IMHO.</blockquote>
