Message: <blockquote data-quote="peanut" data-source="post: 340456" data-attributes="member: 7578">Funny bimmer storiesI have a similar actual story but it was not E90 but another 3 series.  THis was back when I was in US.  I was working then and I got to meet some of the rich Singaporean kids studying in San Francisco.  One of the girls was driving a 3 series (a gift from the parents because they felt that a German car was much safer than Japanese cars).  That was an E36 then.  She drove the car until one day she observed smoke coming out from the engine compartment.  Upon towing the car to BMW service center, she was asked by the mechanic when was the last time she service the car.  She had an innocent look and said "do I have to do that?"  :burnout:</blockquote>
