Message: <blockquote data-quote="Herbert" data-source="post: 456328" data-attributes="member: 18029">Your's a double vanos.  Can you let me know which workshop replaced the vanos seals for you and whether this workshop have done any vanos seals rplacement before?  Did workshop used cam shalf locking device?There are 4 big seals (2 black & 2 brown) & few smaller ones.  The brown seal should be the inner one and the black the outer one.  Hope your mechanic have done it correctly.  The vanos unit is a mechanical device and the only defective parts are the seals.  Please verify with your mechanic or ask your mechanic to open up the vanos unit to check for correct seals installation.</blockquote>
