[QUOTE="astroboy, post: 727171, member: 4527"] Wear and tear ma. Besides when I notice about the irregular tyre wear, it was over a year. I have a habit of not checking my alignment periodically unless car pulling one side or notice irregular tyre wear. And dealer only provides alignment warranty for 2 weeks, beyond that you are on your own. Also we are supposed to check alignment periodically which I didn't do. I am at fault too. Can't claim warranty which only cover manufacturer defect ma. Even if they give me 1 new tyre, the other tyre is 50% worn, I won't use match tyres with different tread balance on my car, very dangerous during high speed. The salesman saw me so persistent, he asked me to go this tyre shop outside and he paid for the bill. Better than nothing lor. The RFT warning is actually triggered if there is a change in tyre circumference to one of the tyre in comparison to the rest of the tyres. The change in circumference is caused by change in tyre pressure and it revolution per minute will increase when there is a reduction is circumference measurement, in comparison to the rest of the tyres. Our car do not have a tyre pressure monitor to take pressure reading. The RFT tyre monitor actually is taking readings from the DSC module which capture individual tyre rotation rate and make calculated guess to warn us if it suspected a flat. If all 4 tyres deflate at the same rate, it worn trigger the RFT alarm. I have shared this knowledge over and over again and it's covered in the vehicle onwer's manual.
