Hey Guys, I just sent in my car for a steering rack replacement. Was suppose to collect in soon but they called me up saying that they're having problem with the coding for my car. Any of you guys whom had the steering rack changed had to update a new software? Apparently this consist of my i-Drive and it seems that I need to update the ECU as well. Is it because there is set of calibration instruction for different EPS? Tried to ask them why they need to update the ECU, but they kept insisting it's like your iPhone that it needs to be updated. -_- They don't even know how to explain to me why is there a need for update. Also, just a curious question. I thought all new N47 ECU are locked even from BMW dealers? That is why the new PPK comes with new ECU instead of flashing the ECU like old PPK. Just curious as they need to update my ECU as well. - - - Updated - - - Hey Guys, I just sent in my car for a steering rack replacement.
