It's quieter both inside and outside. Drive is smooth when compared to my 2011 520d. (Perhaps it's the 2012 COMFORT+ setting or my driving style? My 520d tends to pull back a little if I let go of the pedal during low speeds.)Acceleration on the 520i is good -- but left me wanting just a little more. Revs and pulls smoothly all the way to 6/7k, but lack that lower/mid end kick compared to 520d. It's still good though.
