SO I have replaced them with Boston 2-way components too, leaving the original mid-range. I did not use the Boston x-over since the signals are already x-overed at the amplifiers. Sound much better now but can do with a little extra bass. I would like to seek your advice. I am looking at getting the HLG 8788GB DVD/GPS/etc which claim to have a sub-woofer output , can it actually drive a sub-woofer ? or I will need the all-in-one type of sub.What about changing the transistor amplifier in the amp itself to better match the impedance of my speakers.</blockquote>
