Message: <blockquote data-quote="bluefire" data-source="post: 1619" data-attributes="member: 1226"><p>Hi! everyone,I went in to get my Air Slide Valve on my E30 changed.  After all the tinkering has been done, the engine was started up and during tuning a hiss was heard from my radiator flowback bottle and suddenly the mechanic realised they didn't top up the water.Water gets drained when the Air Slide Valve is being installed.The engine hit the overheat redline for about 2 minutes, maybe and upon realising it, they stopped the engine and top the water up.Does this spell trouble for the engine?When does one notice problems?  There doesn't seem to be any leaks yet but how to hold the mechanic responsible?It is a big name BMW mechanic and I least expected this.What to do lah?Bluefire</p></blockquote><p></p>
