Synth oil lasts longer but are generally thinner and mostly good for new tight engines and also for places of four seasons where freezing temp startups matters what grade of oil is used. If you look at the Owners Manual,the oil viscosity recommendation will be dependant on the ambient operating temp where the car resides. I intend to use Castrol 20w50 but keeping to the oil change schedule to every 5k kms, ie. ignoring the OBC green leds Am I taking the wrong route? ps. plse don't direct me to the "all u need to know about engine oil" link as I've read that long writeup.</p></blockquote><p></p>
