During recent service of my Year 2000 E39 525 I have changed engine oil to Shell Semi Syn. Carrefour has a good deal 5 litres pack for RM86. I bought 2. After the service at one of our regular service centre, I notice my ride has slight under power. I suspected the mechanic may have overfilled the engine oil. True enough yesterday i check the dip stick and the engine oil is way above the maximum level. I think the mechanic who use to the 4 litres pack wrongly estimate when filling it in not knowing it is 5 litres pack. i also forgot to remind him that.Question :1. Beside under power issue, will there be any other negative impact to the engine?2. Should I 'suck' out the engine oil back to the recommended level instead of drain it out? I'm not sure the workshop i went has the 'sucking' (pardon for the word i use...he he) machine. Shaiful workshop in Ipoh use that.
