My opinion, weight 30 is too low in cSt in high temperature, and HTHS protection. </p><p>And if I remember correctly, BMW recommend 5w-40 Castrol EDGE motor oil for M3-E46. It might be for some other reason but I go for the theory weight 40 give better protection when you drive your car hard <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite2" alt=";)" title="Wink ;)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=";)" /></p></blockquote><p></p>
