Turn off the engine and restarted, works okay for a few moment then it repeats itself. It was late so have to continue journey.Still can drive with the EML indicator but acceleration and speed were severely hampered. Top speed is limited to 60kph no matter which gear I engage - the car is a manual. Managed to limp all the way to destination, the next morning started the car and EML immediately goes on. After a few days thinking that there is no hope, remembered a conversation with bro zidee where he was asked to knock/whack the VVT motor. Whacked the motor with spanner #13 from the toolset and the engine works fine again. This was during raya haji holiday and the engine has been running fine since.During the error occurance, there was an error in the DME about VVT power emergency. Last week, at the workshop we found that the fuse connecting to the power amp is hot and the casing melted due to being hot. I'm concluding that the VVT EML error is due to voltage instability caused by voltage drop at the hot wire to the amp. What can't be concluded is that why knocking the VVT motor fixes the problem.Cheers</blockquote>
