Astroboy, I think you are off the mark again. I fully agree with DD's explanation. In last year's Annual Dinner, the club has subsidised at least RM100 for official members that attended the dinner, not to mention the BlackBerries that were given off, lucky draw vouchers from AB worth a couple of thousands and etc. If you take into account of what the Official members paid last year (150 + 75), most if not all has gotten their money's worth, taking into account of the merchandise that goes with it as well. Of course many things could have been done better and there is always room for improvement. I myself has served in the pro-tem committee. We have sacrificed our time and money getting things done. Like going for meetings to meet up with sponsors, government authorities, BMW Malaysia, Auto Bavaria, SA and etc -toll, petrol, parking and time. And none of us have even touched any $$$ in the club's coffers and you never hear the committee members complained about it. Have you?!! We did it because we love the club. Likewise, I suggest you to be more realistic and pragmatic in your views. It only reflects badly on you. I can certainly accept CK's and DY's views which are constructive in nature. :) Whatever $$$ in the bank account, it belongs to all club members and will be used for the member's benefits.
