hehe,

thanks AB for the nice pictures, love the Extractor / Header design, bet they do it that way to get the same length for all the 4 'tubes'.

AB, our humble 320i just imagine all the same but half. hehe...

Yeah right! Half of 4.0L is exactly 2.0L ! Hahahahaaaa...

I am thinking the same thing for the exhaust manifold for having so many unnecessary bends.. straighten them up, it should be the same length.. And I thought those high temperature red-ish manifold can only be seen in turbo or F1 cars.. what an awesome sight!

That looks like a very thin but wide piston.. interesting! I guess that's one way of boosting horse power, to have a light weight piston. But then the torque would suffer.. :(

bloody germans..they really know how to design sweet engine :)

bro, the 'unnecessary' bends is essential in ensuring pathflow of the exhaust gas to be equalised between all the output from the 8 cyclinders..otherwise, u'll get like a sinusoidal wave travelling thru the exhaust duct..that's no good...fluid mechanics elementary...

oh..anybody owns the E92 M3 yet ??
