I don't have such a problem on my E90 (hopefully not in the future!).However a couple of months ago, I did have a similar issue on another car of mine after I changed the brake pads. There was this squealing sound as I slowed down. At first the mechanic asked me to go remachine my disc brakes (at my own expense) but I was adamant not to. I insisted that he changed a new set of brake pads for me and voila! The sound was gone You might want to have your brake pads checked...
