Hi all,Tried to start the car today after work but failed. When turning the ignition, light were blinking like once every second with click, click, click sound. Radio, lights, odometer and central locking all worked fine but the car just refused to start. Is it because of weak battery? My battery is already almost 3 years. Or is it the starter? Mine is E46 325 year 2001.Advice please and car is still at the office car park. Thanks

If click click sound, possibly starter... try open your hood while igniting the engine. The belts should rotate if your starter is healthy

Sounds more like a weak battery. Jump start your car first, then wt the engine running change the battery, this will eliminate the process of resetting your radio frequency. Try restarting your car after the new battery has been installed, if it starts your worries should be over.

Try to borrow a good battery and fix it to start your car and see bro. Did your battery icon on your cluster lights up before this problem rise.

If your battery died, remove your batry and start up using another batry. If your car can be started, it means the battery. If not, probably the starter.Next while the engine running, remove the battery you used to start up. If your engine died, it means your alternator fail thus it does not charge your battery. If your engine continue running, place back your dead battery for charging and drive to the battery shop. Dont turn off the engine or you need to repeat the process again..

Hi all,

Thanks for all the advice. It was the battery! Jump started the car with a new battery and while the engine is running, the old one was replaced with this new one.
Appreciate all the help and suggestions given.
