e46 tail light configuration

hi all the sifus,my ride is e46 2001 and recent changed my tail light to the red-white-red facelifted version. got a taiwan made (Depo). its plug and play no mod necessary.The thing is i noticed that the way / configuration when my tail light lights up is different the those models with the original sets.anyone know how to change the configuration?

BMW E46 2001 taillight's configuration is white/yellow and red, for e46 yr 2003 onwards taillight confi is is red-white-red, so you need to change 2001 socket to 2003. Well, I heard that socket might be at RM300+ so I change to M3 led instead .

wah RM300 for socket seems bit steep man. any idea where i could change the socket?

i had the depo red-white-red lights installed in my '01 E46. no use changing the socket because the socket only applies if you purchase the original red-white-red lights. i went through the same thing as you. have to live with it.

Same goes with me man, as long the light up and signal function. Will do then. That's how the Taiwanese make money though
