To confirm is to rotate the knob of the volume. if there is no 'clicking' movement, the rotary encoder is broken.
It just happen to me. The knob cannot adjust the volume.
Open it up and found that the rotary switch is broken. The plastic part inside the switch is broken.
Getting the part from China to try out. BTW the switch is EC11 rotary with momentary switch.
Cost about USD0.90 to order.
