BMW specialist advise Hi Riezal, Nice to meet you in this forum Quick tip on the service base on AB requirement. Default setting when u insert the key before start the engine, it will prompt you your car lifetime. It will countdown from 25kkm to 0. This is to trigger you everyday when you are required to service. But, if u not service at AB, this will not appear at your odometer when insert the key. Normal service shop only put "Next Service" sticker which normally pasted at the front mirror. Even default setting at 25kkm interval, my friend whom is BMW engineer base in Penang advise to change the engine oil every 12kkm. This is to avoid your engine oil become jelly and block inside. For your info BMW engine temperature is 120*C at normal condition with the monitor needle stand at center in between hot and cold. For your benchmark normal car like Proton temperature only 85*C. Next is the coolant water to stabalize your radiator. Do you know that, we need to top up the water every 3 weeks. If not please open your car bonet now and check the water level. For safety, make sure your engine cool down first due to high temperature as mention above. Caution, if u stand at your car number plate u will see quater circle on top left and right. Left is your brake liquid controller and right is electric control unit ( ECU ). Please ensure that water not spread at this 2 portions because it will cost you RM 10K for each items. As a reminder especially when u send your BMW for engine wash.
