Alert - Lousy workshop Hi Guys, Just to share my recent bad experience with a BMW specialized workshop called M-Roadster located in Pandan Indah. I sent in my E46 for a normal servicing last week. During the normal servicing I was alerted by the boss there that there's some indication of engine oil leak and I needed to replace the gasket rubber seal which I agreed since it has not been replaced for a few years now. When I got my car after the repair, I started the engine and noticed that the engine alert warning lamp was lighted. I immediately informed the workshop boss and the first words that came out from his mouth was whether the warning light was already there before they touched my car! Finally he got his mechanic to check the engine again and found that they have forgotten to connect back a cable plug when they replaced the rubber seal. So they had to do a computer reset. They did not apologize for the mistake, and just pass me my keys saying that everything was alright. I drove away for less than 2 km when I notice there's smoke coming out from the sides of the bonnet. When I opened up the bonnet after stopping the car by the roadside, there was engine oil spewing out. I called up the workshop and after waiting for more than 30 mins, they send 2 mechanics to assist me. And then the 1st words that the mechanics said was that I shouldn't have bought the E46 04 2.0l version. He said I should have bought the 2001 1.9l version which he claimed was more reliable. After checking it for a few minutes, he finally exclaimed that the cap for the engine oil wasn't closed properly, so the oil spewed out. And who's fault was that! I carefully droved back to the workshop to ask for an engine oil refill and to clean up the engine. But I was shocked when the boss said that the engine oil remaining was still enough although when I looked at the measuring rod, it was already near the minimum level. He didn't even apologize for the pain he caused to my baby. As I was already late to pick up my daughter from dancing class, I just went off without even bothering to scold that bastard. Just stay away from this terrible workshop, fellow beemer owners. They are just so incompetent!
