Water (Heater) Valve change. hi guys, just to share i did a DIY change on the Water (Heater) Valve Recently. there are also lots of this on the net, but thought I'd share my process with you all.... You can do it yourself, but I had one friend assisting just to hold the hoses to make sure not too much coolant escapes the hose. Some of the pics are below. Please excuse the dusty engine bay. Was travelling along construction place prior to the change. First, remove the air supply intake. There are three push pins holding it that u can remove with a Flatbed screwdriver. Next, proceed to to removing the airbox. For this you need to unscrew 2 x 10mm bolt, the MAF cable, and the clamp that is holding the airbox. Once you remove, the airbox, the Water (Heater) valve is visible. Unplug the cable supply of the Water (Heater) Valve. Now, proceed to removing the water valve from the socket that is holding it. There are two hoses connected to the water valve. Unscrew the hoses. This is the part where you need to be careful not to let too much coolant drip out. I had one friend hold one of the hoses while i was unscrewing the other hose. Immediately clamp and screw back the two hoses to the new Water valve Now process is complete. Just need to put back the water valve to its socket again and install back the air box. Once all is done, MAKE SURE you top up COOLANT and BLEED YOUR SYSTEM !!! This is due to some of the coolants that dripped and air was introduced into the system when you unscrewed the hose from the initial water valve. All the best !!! By the way, if your a/c feel don't feel cold or blowing cold air from one vent and hot air from one vent, try charging the gas first before immediately doing this. :)
